Today's Guest Post is from a dear friend that writes a delightful blog about everything! I asked her for a post about Saving - and you will love what she came up with. Enjoy!

Saving...
To read that title you might think I am going to talk about saving money...
Nope...
Though I think that is a wise thing...don't get me wrong!
But in this post I wanted to talk about saving fabric!
Ha!  I bet that was not what you were expecting... or maybe you were if you follow this blog at all!
You see I really enjoy fabric... I mean there is nothing like a really well made, gorgeously designed half a yard
(or more if I am so blessed) piece of fabric...
I think carefully about how I want to use it and how much I can get out of it and I don't want to waste a single bit...
So I "save" it... I have grocery bags full of little bits of fabric in the closet of my work room.  I have a large box full to the top of small pieces of fabric.  I have cubbies overflowing with fabric.

No I am not a horder... I do not have an unhealthy obsession (well my husband might disagree) with material...
I really just don't want to waste a bit of it!

And You are probably wondering what I might do with these little bits and pieces of fabric?
Well for example I might make these...
Cute little quilted pin cushions....

or these....
Little birds...

or these....
Little "yo-yos" for hair accessories...

So you see... waste not want not... even with fabric!
Now if only this stopped me from buying more...

  1. Love your ideas! I like to save bits and pieces of fabric and random other things that might be useful for crafts. It's nice when I have a spurt of creativity and I don't need to drive out to a craft store.
