Make a Halloween Pumpkin from Old Books Craft Project

I love making crafts during holiday seasons. This is actually one I think I will make. There is a fancy version, as shown above and a simpler version of this project below. I saw the more simple project first and am still going to do that one, because I don't have the die cut machine to make the first one.

The first one is featured on Spellbinders Paper Art. I think these ones are adorable, but the second one is just as cute.

This second one is a simpler version if you don't have a die cut. This project is featured on Creations By Kara. This one is made from a paper template and spray paint, unlike the first, which uses an orange ink pad for the pages. I think if I were to modify it, I would look for some wider green ribbon with a wire edge and after I tied it on would cut it into leaf shapes. I would prefer to use the kind if stem as the first one, but that's a personal preference. This is a great craft for fall and would add nicely to a shelf, end table or mantle.
