Home Depot offers many weekend workshops to teach new DIYers, of all ages, the skills and knowledge needed to not only start a task, but more importantly, to complete it! Get inspired, go to Home Depot this weekend.
The 'Home Improver Club' gives Do-It-Yourself newbies hands on instruction and teaches the necessary knowledge needed to tackle household projects with confidence.
Begin teaching your child the proper way to use tools and tool safety while building and bonding over that month's project.
At the Kid's Workshop, your child will be rewarded an achievement pin and a kid-sized orange Home Depot apron while expanding their mind.I've participated in the Kid's Workshop several times with my daughter, Mikaela, and we've had a blast having "Mommy and Me" time (minus all the times her miniature hammer hit my thumb). It's something new, something educational and it doesn't cost a dime!
Home Depot's 'Do-It-Herself' Workshop teaches you how to fix the broken and redo the ugly yourself.
If you are unsure and uneasy around tools or have little practice using them, I suggest you put the 'Do-It-Herself' Workshop on your To-Do List on Saturday when 'The Right Tool For The Job' will be the subject matter. Please check at your local Home Depot for the correct times and for August's schedule (they are taking a break the month of July).
