Disney on Ice Presents World of Fantasty presented by Stonyfield YoKids Organic Yogurt REVIEW

Enchanted. If I had to choose one word to describe what my kids thought of the Disney On Ice show this year - it would be "enchanted". It is SO nice to be able to attend a fairly long show (about 2 hours this year) and have my kids (ages 4-8) sit through the ENTIRE show without getting out of their seats. Amazing! We were very thankful to Feld Entertainment for our tickets this year - we had amazing seats only a few rows up! if you can snag a seat near one of the corners of the rink, I recommend it so that you get "up close and personal" with the characters.

This year's show was divided into 4 parts: Cars, Little Mermaid, Fairies in Pixie Hollow and Toy Story 3. The first 3 parts are before intermission, the last part is after the short intermission. So many beloved characters graced the ice this year! Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy along with the stars from Cars: Mater, Sally & Lightning. I'm kind of intrigued at how they get those cars to move about on the ice!

Familiar faces from The Little Mermaid reprised several parts from the movie with lovely scenes of Prince Eric and Ariel gliding around the "sea" only to be interrupted from evil Ursula. Flounder and Sebastian added their comedic antics to the show too. Little Mermaid was part of last year's show as well, but they used some different scenes from the movie in this year's show.

If you haven't seen any of the Pixie Hollow movies, the next part of the show starring Tinker Bell may be all new to you. There were several scenes from a Tinkerbell movie, but I honestly don't know which one, just that I recognized several lines from the movie.

The glorious queen Clarion floating above the ice rink was a beautiful sight to see and one of my favorite views of the whole show.

Intermission was next - a quick 15 minutes to get a snack, buy a souvenier or run to the potty! I didn't ask this year, but last year you had to have CASH to buy food, drinks or souveniers; so make sure to stop at the ATM on the way to the show!

The very last part of the show, was by far my most favorite part - Toy Story 3. If you have seen the movie, you know it is about Andy leaving for college and the toys accidentally ending up at a daycare. The way they brought the movie to life was fantastic and I myself was engrossed in each song and act.

love his "plastic" hair!

In the movie Barbie & Ken are hysterical and that was transferred over wonderfully to the ice as well. Parents who played with Barbies in the late 80's and early 90's will love the songs they play during the Barbie & Ken scenes. I was grooving in my seat! (Can you tell how old I am??)

As for my kids, my girls enjoyed the Tinkerbell scenes with all the different nature fairies. The Cars part was my oldest son's favorite part - that was really the only part that was strictly "for boys" he said. I had to laugh when I asked my 2nd son what was his favorite part of the show. His answer, "the food". We munched on some nachos during the show this year - a real treat for my kiddos. :)

Overall, another terrific Disney On Ice show. I much preferred the daytime show versus a night time show. A little bit warmer and easier to keep track of my all my kids. If you are planning on going to one of the other few shows that are left, plan on arriving to park at least 30 minutes before the show starts and if you park in the OnCenter garage the price is $9. (Yikes!). When you leave also plan on another half hour or so to get OUT of the garage too. If you bujy your garage pass from Ticket Master, the price is $8 - a $1 savings.

There are 5 more shows as of the posting of this post. Saturday at 11AM, 3PM and 7PM; and Sunday at 1PM and 5PM. You can get tickets HERE through Ticketmaster or you can call the Box Office or get them right at the show. I would at least check Ticketmaster for the available seats before heading to the show.

If you go tell me what your favorite parts of the show are for you! Thanks again to Feld Entertainment for the tickets for my family. All opinions expressed are my own.
